a review of celestron 12x50 binoculars

i ordered it from flipkart. delivery took 5 days.i ordered on monday it reached malappuram on friday.packing was loose; as if it had been opened.dunno if flipkarts or couriers fault.suspect bluedart manjeri

pros:-

1)small size.fits in shirt pocket.
2)good zoom.good focus.works well even if you have myopia.
3)has a small cord that acts as strap.carry bag provided
4)overall rubber grip.feels sturdy

cons

1)diminutive objective lens.images appear dark at dusk and dawn,twilight condition or under cloud cover
2)if you have shaky hands you wont be able to see a thing due to the high zoom and small overall size
3)short eye relief.cant really see through if you're wearing glasses.(thankfully it works well even without glasses)
4)cant increase or decrease zoom(in case you didn't know)
5)Actual Field of View is pretty low


my suggestion:spend a little more and go for a bigger bin with bigger objective lenses.preferably with a tripod attachment (if you have one)
